Just downloaded KLT K++ 2.7.0 and can't seem to get it to connect. I've followed the instructions at http://www.kltforums.net/?showtopic=2273 but it's still not working.

What I did:

1. Changed default K-lite port from w/e it was to 12012
2. Opened up the same port for UDP/TCP in my router (AND checked that that it was open with http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/)
3. Applied the cn.reg patch
4. Did not need to use the tcp patch since I'm running XP SP1
5. Tried with and without ZA installed, same results
6. No norton or any other programs installed
7. Did a complete reinstall and removed ALL info in the registry but same result..

What else can I do? The only weird part I noticed is that even after I added the new reg data from the cn.reg file it gets changed back into some random numbers everytime I start K-lite?

hi, i have downloaded kazaa lite (full download) when i open kazaa all i get is "connecting" and the "search and traffic" are not highlighterd and nothing happens,

i am not that techincal so please be gentle with me lol.

i just put klite 272 back on the ole puter .....tried klitetools but it wouldnt connect neither would 272.
i finally dmzed my router and i can connect to some supernodes.....others wont even let me connect
the thing is ...i can connect search and download ....... ....... one thing...there just isnt enough people on the fasttrack network to d/l from...or they hide the files .............. for the love of fasttrack,share your files

Back in 2000 KaZaa Lite 2.4.3e was my favourate P2P software, after Gnutella 0.56. I haven't used P2P software for a long time and want to use my old favourate KaZaa Lite again. However 2.4.3e doesn't seem to work anymore.

Please can someone update me on what doesn't work and what versions DO work.

There's so many of these fake KaZaa (Lite) websites out there and I like advice on which ones are fake ones to avoid. I have seen downloads for KaZaa Lite 2.4.4e, KaZaa Lite 2.7.0e, KaZaa Lite 2.7.2a / 2.7.2e, etc.

I assume the most reliable, primary site is http://www.my-k-lite.com/. Please correct me on this. This site says the latest version is KaZaa Lite 2.7.2a. I have followed the instructions on installing KaZaa Media Desktop 2.7.2 & KaZaa Lite 2.7.2a (what about 2.7.2e?).

Also, what about KaZaa Lite Resurrection? Who are these guys who keep on making these different versions? It would be good if someone updated http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazaa_Lite to detail the history of K-Lite and it's changes/variants.

how do i get KLT++ to work On Vista when i click the shortcut after install nothing happens and KLT Wont open please help me.

i tried all the ways none of them work i gavit de up today i tried it again it didn't work

then i remembered that i sometime change teh program's compatibility to XP SP2 and i ran the program as admin



and i got connected within few sec

I tried K-lite mega codec pack plus the full and standard version. I uninstalled each before I tried the next one. Advice?

I was an old user of Kazaa Lite K++ and never had a problem, but now after a new system reinstall I cant get the search to work. Ive tried with Klite 2.7.2 and Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.4 SR2 downloaded both of them from this forum and following the steps:
Ive my router configured to forward port 10000 and it works.
Installed it and applied cn.reg supernodes key for XP, and then the EventID 4226: TCP/IP patch but search is not showing anything. Ive tried searching for 'everything' and 'audio' but nothing is shown, the search never ends and displays just a-> "Performing search, please wait.." || 571,405 users online || KazaaLiteK++@KazaA, sharing 346 files.
Dont know what else to do. Ive complete disabled my win xp sp2 firewall, and Ive set Jetico Firewall to allow all but it still doesnt show anything while searching.

hey guys! i'm new here, and after getting TIRED of limewire and its spam, i've remembered to come back to my old friend k lite ++. unfortunately i've also faced the dreaded connection problem, and i don't have a clue what's wrong, not to mention reading the other similar threads.


just installed KLT K ++ 2.7.0 build 1

no xp or any other firewall

configured norton security to allow the program internet access

i'm pretty sure i'm not using a router, i have a wireless modem but this computer is the main one so it's connected to the modem with an ethernet cable, and only another computer is connected wirelessly

isp is bell sympatico dsl

how do i know if i have to do the registry stuff, and how do i do it?

All the download mirrors (that I've searched for) for kazaa272_en.exe are Defunct!

Does anyone have a link that actually is working ????

just installed ver. 2.7.0. wouldn't connect so followed advice from a muscleman reply to similar problem. changed port to 12000, added sp2 and 4226 patches, added KazaaLite port and the port # in my firewall. still won't connect.

Always been able to run this programme from different computers but my new computer has windows vista and it won't connect.
